from Brasov by Marco M:
We are on the way back to Timisoara. On the basis of many discussions in our group is clear that there will be some time before we will have processed all the impressions of the last days.
The Romanians want to join Europe and put to it even to the wheel. The infrastructure of the EU measures were positive and visible everywhere, including in the social sector. It's nice to see how many different private engagement of people from Western Europe and particularly from Germany, there are. The level of training and commitment of the staff of the Romanian institutions we visited seemed very high. And yet, those who will probably be the last to enter the beneficiary of holding wealth, as always, the margins of society: the elderly, sick, children and ethnic minorities, primarily the Roma.
The message in all these children but also all the staff and parents had arrived on site in my opinion as clearly as it is simple: You can do it and you will, but under no circumstances are you here alone! I am happy and grateful for a small cog in this huge relief effort was to be and I can only advise everyone to be there next time, because: The what have you done this week at home in your job, will you at least remember at Christmas have promised a week of round-table on the other hand NEVER convoy.
really looking forward to after all the impressions of all the others in Timisoara, my contributions to the convoy stop there, you all a Merry Christmas!
Yit
Marco
